Catching Up...

The past few weeks have been filled with concerts, performances, school conferences, a recital, Tulip Time and a skating competition. Whew!
Although it has been incredibly busy, each event has really been a lot of fun!

Right after the Steven Curtis Chapman concert, Grace participated in her ice skating club's Spring Ice Show...

Her coach is Miss Stephanie and she is such an amazing girl. She has been a wonderful role-model for Grace and is a blessing to our family.

The theme was a Western Theme: "Boots, Blades, and Bandannas".
Joel helped out selling flowers for the figure skating club, and ended up on a "Wanted" sign! :-)

Then, a few days later, Joel had a violin recital. It was fun to hear him perform, as well as hearing the violins do several group pieces. Below is a picture of Joel with his violin teacher, Mrs. Hofland. She is wonderful with him!

Two days later, Joel and Grace had their Thursday Resource Center Spring Musical. It was called, "King of the Jungle" and the kids had a fun time performing songs that they had learned all year. They also had several art projects from the year on exhibit. Below are some photos from that evening.

This past week was filled with a variety of different activities, as we participated in Holland's Tulip Festival. We tried to keep to a fairly normal school schedule this week, but with parades and Dutch dancing, it was quite a task to get everything accomplished.

Finally, today Grace competed in her very first skating competition. It was called the Lake Effect Basic Skills Competition and was held at the Georgetown Ice Arena. She and her friends from The Skater's Edge all did a great job! What a fun day!

Below is Grace with her coach, Miss Stephanie.

This is Ana having a fun time posing for the camera.

And here is Joel with his latest breakfast creation... pancake roll-ups! He is becoming quite the chef these days!
