This blog was originally created to help keep our family and friends informed as we journeyed together in the adoption of our youngest daughter from Guatemala. In April of 2008, all of our prayers were answered, and we traveled as a family to Guatemala to finally bring home Ana Hope. We now use this blog as an opportunity to share and preserve the precious everyday moments that can easily be forgotten in the busyness of everyday life.

"It's here!" (1/2/07)
SooJin called today and informed us that our Dossier had arrived safely. She also mentioned that ALL of our doucments looked "perfect" (meaning we would not need to redo any of them!) YAY! (I am told this is quite uncommon.) We are now officially #34 on the Guatemala waiting list. She said to expect our baby to be born sometime between April and June. This means we will likely make our first trip prior to the end of the schoolyear (something else we did not expect). The entire process has progressed so much more quickly than we anticipated. When we began our paperwork in November, we fully expected a 12-18 month wait just for our baby to be born. To think that she could actually be home with us THIS YEAR is just amazing!
